What Maui Residents Are Saying

I truly support you and your decision to run. From the day I met you, I've seen how committed you are to advocating for lower rents and making housing more affordable for local families, as well as addressing homelessness—those things really matter to me.

I also deeply respect the way you've supported the immigration community and continue to be a voice for people who often don't feel heard. That kind of leadership is important, and it's something I genuinely admire.

You absolutely have my vote, and I'm rooting for you. Wishing you all the best on your campaign journey.

I am pleased to offer my support and testimony for Alan Lloyd as he runs for Maui County Council representing Wailuku.

I first met Alan while volunteering with the Maui Tenants Association, where he was responsible for handling calls for the tenant hotline. Through that experience, I saw firsthand his dedication, patience, and genuine concern for the people of Maui. Alan consistently treated callers with respect and compassion, taking the time to listen carefully and help people navigate difficult housing and tenant-related situations.

What impressed me most was Alan's calm and professional manner, even when dealing with stressful or emotional circumstances. He demonstrated a strong sense of fairness, integrity, and commitment to helping local residents. It was clear to me that his motivation came from a sincere desire to serve the community rather than for recognition or personal gain.

Maui needs leaders who are approachable, hardworking, and willing to listen to the concerns of everyday residents. Based on my experience working alongside Alan, I believe he possesses those qualities and would bring thoughtful leadership and community-centered values to the Maui County Council.

I am proud to support Alan Lloyd and respectfully encourage others to consider supporting his candidacy as well.
